The fate line and the Sun line

In palmistry there is an important rule: horizontal lines (such as the heart or head line) are usually read from the edge of the hand inwards. Vertical lines, however - such as the Fate Line (Luck) or the Sun Line - are always read from the bottom (the wrist) upwards (to the fingers). This is the direction of human growth and development.

The Fate Line (Line of Luck)

No line: This is not a bad sign. It simply means that this person's life is not predetermined by destiny. Such a person has a free hand and creates their own reality by the strength of their own will, without a script written "from above".
Straight but delicate: Indicates a calm and harmonious life. This person is optimistic and generous and usually achieves their goals without having to fight great adversity.
Straight and deep: A sign of strong determination. Such a person can "give luck a helping hand", set the pace of events and pursue their goal at any cost.
Wavy and weak: May suggest an unsteady character and susceptibility to the influence of others. Difficulty keeping to a chosen course in life.
Wavy and deep: Changeable decisions. Life choices are often sudden, surprising and made on impulse.
Broken (straight): A life full of change. Periods of great success alternate with more difficult moments. Ups and downs.
With many joining branches: Cleverness and resourcefulness. The ability to take advantage of every opportunity. Such a person always lands on their feet, even in a crisis.
Cut by horizontal lines: Obstacles on the way to the goal. Success is possible, but requires overcoming many barriers.
Heavily cut (a ladder): A series of failures or blows of fate that may weaken the fighting spirit.
Touching the Life Line (along its course): A sign that you are the master of your own fate and your actions have a direct influence on the quality of your life.
Starting from the Life Line: Huge support from family and loved ones at the start. It often also means an inheritance or help with your career.
Starting on the Mount of Venus: Emotional life is the driving force. Happiness in love, a successful marriage and the goodwill of others help your career.
Starting on the Mount of the Moon: Intuition and imagination are the key to success. Travel and contacts abroad will be very fruitful.
Starting from the Rascettes (the wrist): A sign of responsibility and reliability. Such a person enjoys respect, is independent and deeply moral.
Ending on the Mount of Saturn: Success achieved with your own hands. Ambition and hard work bear fruit.
Ending on the Mount of the Sun: A promise of recognition, popularity and even fame in your circle.
Ending between Saturn and the Sun: A guarantee that your effort will not go to waste. Persistence will be rewarded.
Stopping at the Girdle of Venus: Unused potential. Lack of discipline or carelessness may waste innate talents.
Stopping at the Heart Line: Sacrifice for others. Loyalty and feelings may become a brake on your personal career.
Stopping at the Head Line: Too much analysing. Excessive thinking and calculating may cause you to miss a life opportunity.
Bending towards the Mount of Mercury: A talent for business. A flair for trade, finance and enterprise.
Bending towards the Mount of Jupiter: Fortune smiles on you. The possibility of suddenly becoming rich, an inheritance or a win.

The Sun Line (Line of Success)

No line: As with the Fate Line, its absence is not a defect. It simply means that fame and applause are not a priority in the owner's life.
Long and clear: Great success in life, fulfilment in your career and prosperity.
Short and clear: Success in a specific, narrow field or at one stage of life.
Long but wavy: Short-lived enthusiasm. Great ambitions and plans, but a lack of consistency in carrying them out.
Short and wavy: Wrong decisions may lead to failures in business.
Ragged or multiple: Spreading yourself too thin. A lack of focus on one goal makes spectacular success impossible.
Starting from the Life Line: The source of success is the personality itself. Charisma and innate talents open every door.
Starting from the Heart Line: Success through love. A happy relationship and the ability to build relationships are the foundation of prosperity.
Starting from the Head Line: The triumph of the intellect. A career in science, as an expert, or based on knowledge and skills.
Starting on the Mount of Venus: Artistic talents. Personal charm, magnetism and an aesthetic sense bring recognition.
Starting on the Mount of the Moon: A public career. Popularity, media fame, success based on imagination and contact with people.
Starting between Venus and the Moon: Certain success. Well-deserved recognition, respect and a high social position.
Ending in a brush (many lines): Scattered energy. Difficulty keeping the position or wealth you have gained.
A trident at the end (Mercury, Saturn, Sun): An exceptionally strong sign. It heralds a stable, strong financial and social position.
