The Symbol of Care, Harmony and Responsibility

6

Six is the vibration of the Teacher and the Carer. In numerology it symbolises order, balance and unconditional love. People whose lives run to the rhythm of this number have a natural need to be needed. Their mission is to serve others, to look after the home and to bring harmony where there is chaos. It is a path of duty, which - at its best - comes from the heart rather than from compulsion.

Youth and the Weight of Expectations

The childhood of a Six is rarely carefree. Often from a very young age they feel a weight on their shoulders that is hard to bear. They may feel misunderstood or have the impression that they don't fit into their family, and yet they feel responsible for it.

Many people with this vibration grow up in an atmosphere of hidden disharmony, which makes them withdraw into their inner world. A strong sense of guilt is often instilled in them, which in adult life turns into fanatical perfectionism. A Six learns that love has to be earned through flawless behaviour, which breeds constant dissatisfaction with themselves and a fear of being judged.

Challenges on the Life Path

The path of a Six is a path of service. They often become natural community leaders or heads of families on whom everyone relies. In love they are incorrigible idealists - they look for a perfect relationship based on faithfulness and deep devotion.

But their pursuit of the ideal can be a trap. A Six is extremely demanding - both of their partner and of themselves. Their lesson is learning to accept that the world is not perfect, and that you can also love what has flaws. If a Six perseveres in their efforts and does not let life's difficulties kill their sensitivity, they will achieve the fulfilment and stability they dream of.

Shadows and Pitfalls (Weaknesses)

The dark side of a Six is excessive criticism. Because they set the bar extremely high for themselves, they are hard to please. They often project their standards onto others, becoming a harsh judge.

Their strong, unshakeable beliefs can lead to isolation. A Six may be seen as rigid or intolerant of differing opinions. At work and in everyday life their perfectionism can border on pedantry, which makes it hard for them to cooperate with others. In extreme cases they may become a bitter loner, convinced that nobody else can do anything properly.

Potential and Strength (Strengths)

The greatest gift of a Six is the capacity for self-sacrifice. No one can care for another person like they can - for their health, soul and well-being. They are a pillar to lean on in difficult times.

Although they often act alone, the fruits of their work benefit everyone. They are a born healer (literally or spiritually) and carer. Although youth may be hard for them, the second half of life usually brings a reward in the form of a happy, warm home and the respect of those around them. A Six is the heart of the family and the community.
