Master Number: The Visionary and Seeker of Truth

11

Eleven is the first of the Master Numbers. It symbolises Enlightenment, Intuition and an uncompromising pursuit of Truth. People born under this vibration do not look for truths revealed in codes or laws, but want to find authenticity within themselves. Their life task is to achieve consistency between what they think and what they do. They are "Old Souls" who came into the world to inspire others by their example.

Youth: Premature Maturity

The childhood of an Eleven is often marked by a feeling of being different. Because of their innate insight, they see more and feel more deeply than their peers. This makes them mature quickly and look at the world with reserve and a certain amount of mistrust.

The young Eleven builds a wall around themselves. They may seem arrogant, irritable or unapproachable, but this is only armour protecting their extraordinary sensitivity. They learn early on to rely only on themselves. Their character is innate rather than shaped by upbringing - from an early age an Eleven is "themselves", and it is very hard to impose foreign patterns of behaviour or views on them.

Challenges on the Life Path

The main conflict of an Eleven is the struggle between a powerful intellect and an even more powerful intuition. They often take refuge in logic and rationalism, trying to suppress their spiritual, sensitive nature. They can be stubborn and resistant to the arguments of others, which may lead to isolation.

Their life path requires them to stop fighting their soft side. They must open up to spontaneity, inspiration and gentleness. If they remain locked in the fortress of their mind, they risk bitterness and loneliness. The true power of an Eleven awakens when they allow themselves to feel.

Shadows and Pitfalls (Weaknesses)

The weakness of an Eleven is "the infallibility trap". Because their diagnoses and hunches often turn out to be right, over time they stop listening to anyone else. The conviction that they are right becomes their prison.

Pretending to be tough does not make them happy. Behind the mask of steadfastness there is often a lost, fatalistic person who deep down feels misunderstood and unhappy. Scepticism and high demands on those around them may leave the Eleven alone on their pedestal.

Potential and Strength (Strengths)

When an Eleven integrates their gifts, they become a genius. Their analytical mind, supported by a powerful intuition, allows them to see solutions invisible to others. They can unerringly tell good from evil and falsehood from truth.

Their task is to use their insight, realism and organisational skills to build solid foundations for their visions. When they stop fearing their own sensitivity, they become an inspiring leader, artist or spiritual guide. Material and professional success comes to them as a side effect of being true to their own inner truth.
