The Sun Tarot card

Symbolism and Meaning

After the dark night of the Moon, the Sun rises, bringing complete clarity, warmth and joy. It is one of the most positive cards in the whole Tarot deck. Unlike the Moon, which brought illusions, the Sun illuminates the truth and leaves no room for shadows.

On the card we often see a naked child riding a white horse - a symbol of innocence, purity and a return to our "inner child". The child hides nothing, is authentic and full of trust. The sunflowers in the background symbolise life, fertility and energy drawn straight from the source. The sun's rays (straight and wavy) mean a balance between masculine and feminine energy.

The Sun card heralds success, vitality and fulfilment. It is the moment when we feel we are living life to the full. All doubts disappear and we gain self-confidence and charisma. It is the archetype of the divine light, which heals and gives strength to act.

Interpretation of the Card

In a spread, the Sun is a sign of "yes". Whatever you are planning will end successfully. The card heralds fame, recognition and promotion, and in your personal life - a happy relationship, marriage or the birth of a child. It is also a card of excellent health and enormous life energy. If you have been going through a difficult period, the Sun heralds its definite end.
