Symbolism and Meaning

The Ace of Pentacles is one of the most favourable cards in the deck when it comes to material matters. It shows a hand emerging from a cloud (divine intervention), offering a large golden pentacle. Unlike the Ace of Wands (energy) or of Swords (thought), this gift is tangible, solid and concrete. It is a promise of real profit and security.

The hand hovers over a beautiful garden full of flowers, with a gate in the hedge leading towards the mountains. The garden symbolises nature, fertility and the results of hard work, which are already beginning to sprout. The gate suggests that the gift you receive is the key to going out into the wide world and reaching the heights (the mountains). It is the grounding of spiritual energy in the physical world.

This card represents the element of Earth in its purest form. It means health, the body, money and the home. It is a sign that your plans have solid foundations and great potential for growth.
